Jeremy Roy makes large-scale figurative paintings examining the performance of certainty. Working from memory, he reconstructs scenes of collective behavior, such as men in suits absorbed in phones and groups gathered around unclear focal points. The imagery asks how belonging is expressed, how conviction takes shape, and how to live with uncertainty. Roy holds an MFA from the New York Academy of Art.
