Join us for interactive art making, community conversations and fun! Stop by Community Day for info about Bushwick Open Studios in September, meet and make art with your neighbors and celebrate our Bushwick community.

Arts in Bushwick has two core functions – producing neighborhood arts festivals, and facilitating community projects and dialogue. All of our activities are produced by volunteers and at no cost to the public. It is the mission of Arts in Bushwick to provide a platform for creative minds in the community and work towards an integrated and sustainable neighborhood through arts programming, creative accessibility, and community organizing.

Our venue partner House of YES has served as home and incubator for aerial classes, creative events, circus theatre, and a wide range of performance arts. With a deeply rooted connection to our Brooklyn neighborhood, the House of Yes mission is to provide a platform for artists, performers, and producers of various backgrounds while providing quality and inspiring entertainment to New York City and beyond. House of Yes strives to support innovative live performance and art by offering resources as well as creating events and opportunities to connect.

GrowNYC is a partner in our event, hosting a free Art Supplies Swap from 12-4pm. The public is invited to bring clean, portable, reusable art supplies to share with those who can use them. No one is required to bring something to take something – you can simply show up and see what’s free for the taking. Paint, textiles and beads are just some the offerings. GrowNYC is the sustainability resource for New Yorkers: providing free tools and services anyone can use in order to improve our City and environment. More gardens, greenmarkets, more recycling, and education for all. GrowNYC’s Zero Waste programs are funded by the NYC Department of Sanitation. Learn more at
