Burned in Memory: Wood Burnings and Sculptures of Art & Life in NYC brings together pyrography artist Brittany Knapp and scenic and prop artist Jill Folino in an exploration of art, memory, and New York City. Knapp’s large-scale sculptural wood burnings examine social activism, feminism, neuroscience, spirituality, and psychedelics. Folino recreates the beloved Pearl Paint in miniature alongside larger-than-life pop-art objects, celebrating the eccentricity, nostalgia, and creative spirit of NYC’s art community.
