Pablo Medina has a BFA in drawing and a MS in communication design from Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute. Fresh out of grad school he set out to infuse the world with his flair of post-modernist typography that drew from his love of Latin-American popular culture. He has taught at Parsons the New School for Design, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and at California College of the Arts (CCA). In 1999, his typeface designs were exhibited in the Design Triennial exhibition at the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt Museum.
