At this workshop we’ll talk about independent/alternative publishing both online and in print. Discuss how text and media can be used to make your voice heard and connect with your community.

Liz Pelly is a writer, editor and arts organizer living in New York. She is a co-facilitator of programming at The Silent Barn, where she’s also been part of several working groups and lived as an artist-in-residence from 2014 through 2016. She is editor of The Media, a bi-weekly ad-free web-paper covering the intersections of art and activism, emphasizing voices overlooked in the mainstream media. She regularly runs workshops on DIY publishing, media literacy, zine-making and more.
