The Bushwick Open Studios and Art Festival is an event produced by Arts in Bushwick–an organization composed entirely of volunteers, dedicated to presenting and promoting the creative projects of the numerous individuals living and working within this diverse Brooklyn neighborhood.

The goals of this festival are to heavily promote all participating artists and provide a venue for presenting their work; to reach out and create a network between local artists, organizations and businesses in the Bushwick community; and to document the festival in order to provide both the artists and organizers with a record of this event.

We hope to raise $10,000 for this festival. With over 100 participating artists, one-third of our budget will be provided by the artists themselves. We intend to raise another third of our budget through a number of small benefits organized in conjuction with local arts organizations who have pledged in-kind donations of space and supplies. To raise the remaining funds depends on donations from local sponsors and individuals–we need your support to make this festival happen!

Becoming a sponsor of Bushwick Open Studios and Art Festival means more then supporting creative expression; it also means that you are supporting Bushwick’s local community. Bushwick Open Studios and Art Festival will involve hundreds of artists and volunteers and will bring thousands of visitors to Bushwick this summer. The Bushwick community would greatly appreciate your sponsorship of the festival, and as you can see below, even a relatively small donation will provide you with a great deal of visibility in promotional materials sent out before and during the festival.

To make a tax-deductable sponsorship donation by credit card online, you can contribute online through our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas:

2. In the second box, where it says "In Behalf Of," select Arts In Bushwick
3. Fill out the form, and submit!
You will receive a letter in the mail confirming your donation, which can be used for tax purposes.

*Sponsor logos and ads will be visible throughout the entire artsinbushwick.org site until 7/15/08, after which they will appear on the BOS ‘08 pages only. Vertical placement of logos and ads are first come first serve. Sponsor must provide logo and ad graphics.
**Sponsorship must be submitted by May 15 to be included on the  BOS 08 print map.

$400+ recieves:

“[Event/ Hub] Sponsored by [your business].” event listing credit line plus larger logo/ad space on website and map (details see above) The following are some officially promoted BOS events available for sponsorship: the Art Auction/Benefit (in May); the BOS Cabaret; the Bushwick IMPACT mural project; and the BOS Music Festival.  BOS Hub spaces, i.e. designated festival information centers located near each subway stop in the festival map are also available for event level sponsorship.

$1000 + recieves:

“[Event/ Hub] Presented by [your business].” event listing credit line and banner space at the physical event location plus larger logo/ad space on website and map (details see above) To “present” an event would provide exclusive sponsorship credits for that event.

“In Kind” Donations

We also happily accept “in kind” donations, i.e. donation of goods and/or services that fulfill direct needs of the BOS festival. Examples of in kind donations could be event spaces which would usually collect rent or fees for usage, food and drink (e.g. beer sponsorship), or use of utilities (e.g. magazines, newspapers or blogs donating ad space).
