“Cardistry” Skillshare hosted by Frank Sung

March 11, 2017, 1:00 pm-6:00 pm

Hosted by Arts in Bushwick at The Silent Barn

Cardistry is the art of manipulating playing cards. It is the dancing of cards within the hands and body. It can be thought of as performative sculpture with a deck of playing cards as my clay. I plan to showcase the many possibilities of cardistry in order to expand people’s definition of such an ordinary object. I’ll also be teaching some of the basic fundamental moves such as Charlier Cut, Swivel Cut, Swing Cut, Waterfall, Card Twirl, and Thumb Fan.

Please watch my latest performance video to better understand what cardistry is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z_j6TV4ME0
