The Bushwhack Series is an annual performance festival devoted to the development of new work within the neighborhood of Bushwick. At the heart of our mission and goals for The Bushwhack Series is a desire to celebrate what is unique and special about our arts community. This festival is a platform to share that with the larger NYC area.
Past festivals have featured some fantastic participants, including: Reggie Watts, The NTUSA, Banana Bag & Bodice, 31 Down, Nellie Tinder, and Regina Rocke. Our participating artists have offered a diverse spectrum of work, including experimental theater, dance, puppetry, opera, and multi-media performance.
This year’s festival will feature 5 exciting performance artists, showing new work in theater, dance, film, and more (same line-up every night): The Maya Project, William Burke, Rafael Gallegos/Nueva Bohemia, Engine Company No. 11, and Flako Jimenez
