The Active Space is a pro­gres­sive arts cen­ter in the fast grow­ing com­mu­nity of Bush­wick, Brook­lyn. Once a feather factory, this three story 100 year old building was completely gutted, redesigned and renovated by David C. Welner of Welner Associates, to become the new home to artists’ studios as well as a new 1600 sf art gallery.

Directions: L train to Jefferson Street. Exit at Wyckoff Avenue. Walk downhill to Flushing Avenue. Cross Flushing and turn left. Take first right onto Stewart Avenue. The Active Space is on the right-hand side at the corner of Stewart and Johnson Avenue with an entrance on Stewart.
