My paintings are concerned with perception and appearance, as well as randomness or accident. I paint using layers thus painting related or unrelated things on top of one another that may partially or even completely cover the previous layer. Similar to the cave paintings at Lascaux where one artist paints very unselfconsciously over another\\\'s work. I try to avoid using any recognizable imagery. However, I am interested in painting things, just not known or real things. Other tools that I use are the subconscious and visual memory. I collect subconscious memories by drawing and observing from life. I would like to exhibit works in several different venues if possible.

My work combines both contemporary and archetypal qualities of man and woman; equating power, strength, sensuality and pursuit of it. The colors are bold, beautiful, electric, and sexual. Emoting desire, attraction and intimacy… The relationship between the matrix and medium reflects the human relationship, the male/female dichotomy. A powerful, deliberate stroke, Lines, sensual in their curves The movement, The strike upon the surface… Texture Inviting the audience to follow further into the eclectic and attractive, Enticing you to let go and succumb to desires that control the human condition, to touch, to feel, to indulge, to want… I am seeking a space to show my work either as a solo exhibition or group showing. My work is mostly 2D mixed media, on the large to medium scale that can be hung on the walls. Best case scenario, if the right space were provided, I would love to have a sculptural instillation with a few pieces on the wall, working harmoniously together.

I'm an independent curator organizing a group exhibition of small ceramic sculptures. This will be my fourth curatorial project and my second year participating in BOS. I’m looking for a small, easily accessible space in which to install an exhibition of small ceramic sculptures. Ideally, I’d like to show the work in a large, ground floor window (perhaps a shop window?) so that it can remain on view 24h/day throughout the BOS weekend. Having an art exhibition in lieu of a window display would also benefit the store/business by giving it exposure and increasing foot traffic. This would be my dream situation, but I’m open to other options. I would be happy with a space the size of a closet if it’s in a great location.

We are 3 artists living and working in Brooklyn. We would be combining our previously executed paintings and drawings based on shared themes of topophilia, disassociation of place, and that which is simultaneously vapid and active. We will be creating small installation sculptures that will address similar themes in the loose physical form of shrines. We are seeking a gallery or store front space to show both hanging work and free-standing sculptures/small installations.
