The process of painting on paper is an exhilarating release. Paper as a canvas bridges the connections between drawing and painting – it’s lighting fast – absorbing everything you put in. And every work dangles precariously between a completion being found in satisfactory abandonment, or as fodder for collage.

In “Wrapping Paper” six artists will create as the show opens, and culminate in a visual psychic Whirlpool – of cast ephemera – each work completed with the show’s closure at the days end.
