“Boxed In and Out” features a wide range of artists displaying their works in small hand painted black boxes. These boxes were originally used to house and transport three small tubes of oil paint, saved from the trash bin they are now primed with a matte black vinyl paint and will serve to frame the diverse works of artists from Bushwick and beyond. The small, intimate space that these artists have been given to work with shares a mirrored sense in the simple artists’ loft venue in which they will be displayed.
