Giulia Berto is an Italian photographer and videographer. In June 2013 she graduated from the Documentary Photography and Photojournalism Program at the International Center of Photography, New York. Her photographs have been published by L’Oeil de la Photographie, fLIP Magazine for London Independent Photography, NoThoughts Magazine and included in the book New York Edited – CITY SCAPES, published by Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin, Germany.
Her photographic works have been exhibited internationally at the New York Photo Festival (New York City, 2011), Invisible Generation (Italy, 2011), Photoville (New York City, 2013) and as part of the installation at the Portrait Salon (London, 2013). A selected portrait from the series Fragments has been shown at the 2015 Portrait Salon at The Embassy Tea Gallery in London and displayed at The Reminders Photography Stronghold Gallery in Tokyo in February 2016.
Recently, she has been selected to join the invitation-only Portfolio Account community on LensCulture and to participate in the 2016 edition of The Photography Master Retreat held by Martine Fougeron, Elisabeth Biondi and Lyle Rexer. She is one of ten winners of FotoFilmic PULP’s first monthly showcase series which will open its photography exhibition at PULP gallery space and art store on Vancouver’s Bowen Island in October 2016. She is based in New York City.
