Fedele Spadafora is an artist living in New York City. His paintings bring a modern sensibility to his classical training and have been featured in many solo and group exhibitions in the US and abroad, mostly in New York. His first solo show in New York, titled Wonder Women, was in Rooster gallery in Manhattan in 2011. The essay for this exhibition was written by Kathy Battista, renowned author and Director of Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Spadafora’s second exhibition, titled New Paintings, was at Slag Gallery in Bushwick, Brooklyn in 2013. The exhibit was reviewed by James Panero for The New Criterion. Spadafora’s arts activities have been reviewed or featured in a number of publications in the United States and abroad, including The New York Times, The Huffington Post, The New Criterion, Arte Fuse, Fine Art Connoisseur, The L Magazine, Art.es, and Arts in Bushwick. Spadafora’s work is held in public and private collections in the US, Europe and North Africa including the Madison Museum of Fine Art.
