I like to make work that is part of some story or another. There are many stories that seem to recur, and visions of the future often come to look like trends of the past. After all, our future can only ever be made up of our past and present with the elements rearranged.
The Pocket Idol is a creature of this rearrangement. He resembles the beasts of Medieval Europe and illuminated manuscripts. I imagine him revisiting us in the future as a housepet or branding logo.
